This is a message from Louise Chan. .Barbara Kronquest passed away last Saturday Jan. 18th. She was 96 years old. She used to play golf with us. Barbara moved from LOP last summer to an assisted living facility in Grass Valley. She was one of the original owners here at LOP. She was a grand marshal for the Fourth of July parade celebrating LOP’s 50th birthday in 2017. Besides her great sense of humor Barbara had a history which included owning and flying her own airplane, becoming one of the first women with a career involving computers at McClellan Airbase during and after WW11, and involving herself in physical sports including golf. She enjoyed bocce ball well into her 90’s. LOP is where she loved being the best. I also heard that Edna Markham got a virus and is in the hospital. I did not verify this because I can not get ahold of her.
