This fall the board and the members took a poll to determine whether to increase our weekly sweeps amount in the coming year. The impetus was to see if members wanted to get a larger payout for sweeps money, knowing that the winnings are now 50% food and beverage and 50% pro shop cards. The last increase from $2 to $3 was voted on in 2023.
During the September meeting, a straw poll was conducted. The results were equally divided between $3 and $5, with several voting for $4. Because the majority voted for some kind of increase, we took another vote at the October General Meeting, where we voted between $4 and $5. Since there were more in favor of $5, the club will begin the new year with a $5 weekly sweeps amount.
Hopefully it will also be easier to save $5 bills instead of several $1 bills each week. And may you earn even larger payouts in the new year!
